This position is straight overnights from 7:00pm-7:30am. Purpose of Job This position is responsible for performing treatments and technical procedures as required and within the defined scope of practice or validated competency. Job Functions Prepares and transports patients for examination. Assists emergency staff in direct and non-direct patient care functions as delegated. Performs EKGs and point of care testing. Applies splints and braces on patients as ordered assuring good CMS after application. Performs mandatory equipment checks. Documents the various aspects of care on appropriate forms according to RMC policies and procedures. Accompanies ambulance transports and assists with airway management as needed. Demonstratescompetencies in the specialty area of Emergency. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists with patient-related activities under the supervision of the RN. Prepares equipment and aids providers during examination, testing, and treatments of patients. Maintains stocked supplies of equipment in the emergency department.
