Software Engineer for Leica Microsystems Inc. in Bellevue, WA to be key contributor in a team of software and algorithm innovators developing AI- enabled spatial proteomics insight generation software for studying a large number of proteins in a cellular context. Specific duties include: working within a team to design, develop, test, document and debug software applications; mastering the tools, language, systems, and methodologies used by the team; working on product code base to enable feature enhancements, bug fixes and software re-use; providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers and helping to ensure a successful team; and participating in code reviews, team meetings and driving the conversation.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Analyst or related occupation, or alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Analyst or related occupation. Experience must include: Software development; Writing software in C#, C++, Java or similar programming languages; Object-oriented design and modern software engineering methodologies and practices including version control, coding standards, testing and build processes; and Developing NET-based desktop applications, WPF and MVVM design pattern.
