Hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 8a-430p Compensation starts at $67k and up plus great benefits, licensure reimbursement and paid CEU's! The Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for the implementation of Occupational Therapy services in a manner that is client-centered and interactive. The Occupational Therapist is responsible to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise occupational care of patients within the area of assignment pursuant to the policies and procedures of PrairieCare. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide individual patient assessments as ordered by a physician Requires knowledge of occupational therapy practices, which can be gained only through an accredited program Oriented and educated in gender, cultural, and age appropriate care for the assigned unit Adhere to the Occupational Therapy Standards of Practice and the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics, as well as facility policies and procedures Responsible to provide supervision as needed for Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Level I and II Occupational Therapy students. Qualifications Requires graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy, certified as an Occupational Therapist and current licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Registered in the State of Minnesota. Level II fieldwork experience in psycho-social OT is strongly preferred for newly graduated candidates. Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances After training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
