POSITION DESCRIPTION • Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup • Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video • Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks • Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required. Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates. Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of 10 or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10 or more years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering. Ability to work in a diverse work environment, Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening. Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values. Must be a US Citizen. Must have working knowledge of Federal (including DOE) and State code applicable to communications engineering design. ​​​ Desired Qualifications ECS/PA System Design experience. Manual Take-Off experience. Experience with determination of ambient sound levels. Determination of minimum candela and speaker output settings. Experience with Microstation, S3D, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and/or EASE Software. NFPA 70 experience. ​​​ LOCATION Position will be on-site in Greenville, SC with occasional travel to Aiken, SC as needed. Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled consisting of a 4/10 schedule.
