Robert Half Financial Analyst in Miami, Florida

Description We are searching for a meticulous Financial Analyst to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role involves supporting the budgeting and planning processes for various departments, developing and maintaining relationships with budget owners, performing detailed financial analysis, and coordinating with internal and external audits. This is a contract role, ideal for someone with strong skills in Accounting Software Systems, ERP Solutions, Budget Processes, and Expense Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the budgeting and planning of operational and capital expenditures across the company

• Build and maintain relationships with departmental budget owners to manage operational budget

• Conduct monthly analysis of operational expenses to identify trends, issues, opportunities for efficiency and improvement, and reallocate budget to unexpected costs

• Collaborate with the accounting team to assist in the month-end close process and resolve any discrepancies and inquiries

• Inform budget owners of monthly spend to understand budget deviations

• Develop and present monthly reports to highlight performance versus budget

• Support Project Management Office by maintaining reports that assist in developing, monitoring, interpreting, and presenting project financial information

• Perform ad-hoc projects, financial analyses and presentations for management

• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation

• Maintain accurate historical transaction records on assigned budget line items and manage the invoicing process. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning and analysis

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software

• Understanding of 'About Time' project management software

• Ability to perform all necessary Accounting Functions

• Experience in Budget Processes and Expense Reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
