Bio-Techne ERP Business Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota

We are seeking a highly skilled Dynamics Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations or AX 2012 with a strong background in the finance and accounting functions. This position will be responsible for assisting with end user support, enhancements, implementation tasks and integrations to D365 F&O. This individual will collaborate with various teams across the organization to document and resolve issues, along with assisting in building/implementing solutions to meet the needs of the business.

This position is a hybrid remote work position requiring 3 days on-site in our Minneapolis office and 2 day remote from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to Dynamics ERP users, troubleshoot problems and enable end-users to perform their day-to-day functions.

  • Help monitor, maintain, and support automated Dynamics ERP business processes, ensuring critical business functions operate smoothly.

  • Assist in updating and maintaining Dynamics ERP data.

  • Develop training documentation and provide training to end users.

  • Collaborate with end-users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts performing process analysis and requirements gathering to identify and design efficient and effective business solutions.

  • Perform discovery to identify, define, and document requirements into viable business solutions needed by the business. Be able to take those requirements and work with the development team in the design and building of the proposed solution.

  • Identify, document, test, and validate any Dynamics AX setup, configuration and integration changes required by the business.

  • Assist in new implementations of Dynamics AX D365. Assist with managing vendor and internal user workload and tasks associated with support, implementation, and enhancements.

  • Assist with the intake and triage of incoming requests and support needs from ERP end users.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Position requires a minimum of 2–3 years of experience working in Microsoft D365 F&O or AX 2012. Preferred experience working as a member of an IT team to support software development, web or data systems team. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to clearly document ideas in non-technical terms and demonstrate these ideas to upper management and to developers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as computer entry and/or typing skills are required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 2 years of working with Dynamics AX 2012 or D365 required.

  • Experience working with Accounting /Finance functions (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and bank management, taxes, costing methods and fixed assets functions

  • Experience providing troubleshooting, support and assistance to end users.

  • Experience performing requirements gathering, creating design documents, and writing functional requirements.

  • Able to collaborate with internal and external diverse parties in a professional manner.

  • Able to problem solve; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action.

  • Able to communicate successfully within a group and with employees at distance locations across the globe.

  • Able to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects and varying deadlines.

  • Able to document procedures and configurations that are clear, concise and easy to understand.

  • Able to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks as business needs shift.

  • Able to successfully complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Able to work standard business hours of operation and occasionally evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to stay current on technology trends and to recommend innovative technologies to support business initiatives.

  • Effective and professional interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Is detail oriented and can perform tasks at a high level of accuracy.

  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, security, and Agile Software methodologies.
