Suburban Propane Area Credit & Collections Supervisor in Minoa, New York

Overview

We are currently looking for an Area Credit & Collections Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day management of regional credit and collection procedures and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Regional Credit Manager in the assessment of workload needs to effectively manage portfolio. May also assist with employee time and attendance (updates and approvals, including submission to Payroll), Accounts Payable, Performance Reviews and ad hoc back office functions.

  • Oversee the day-to-day efforts of Credit and Collection personnel in managing the A/R portfolio, including delegating and monitoring workload.

  • Hiring, coaching and training of Credit and Collection personnel, motivating staff to improve and succeed.

  • Coordinates activities between Credit and Collection and Customer Service Center (CSC) personnel. Ensures that credit issues are effectively communicated to CSC personnel and that the CSC input is obtained in making decisions and collection efforts.

  • May conduct monthly meetings at Collection Center to discuss A/R metrics and Special Term accounts and/or facilitate weekly calls between the CSC personnel and Credit Representatives.

  • Adherence to Region and Corporate credit and collections policies and procedures – ensures that risk is minimized in A/R portfolio by following corporate guidelines in reference to the establishment of credit limits, documentation and collection efforts.

Salary Range: $55,341-66,409/yr. (dependent on experience)

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Business or related area or equivalent training/experience required.

  • Familiar with Accounts Receivable and Credit and Collections concepts with a minimum of 2 years experience.

  • Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage including Microsoft Office.
