JPMorgan Chase J.P. Morgan Wealth Management - Family Engagement and Governance - Executive Director in New York, New York

Key Responsibilities

The Family Engagement and Governance Executive Director is a process consulting role focused on taking an interdisciplinary, evidence-based approach collaborating with individuals and families to address the qualitative opportunities, challenges and issues that families face at the intersection of family and wealth. Reporting to the Managing Director of Family Engagement & Governance, this role will partner with Financial Advisors and other internal stakeholders to provide ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients and their families with family governance and decision-making expertise and relevant education and resources. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Engage with Financial Advisors and clients on 5 topical domains of family wealth which includes;

  • rising generation learning & development

  • transition planning

  • philanthropy

  • family governance and decision making

  • family dynamics

  • Engage and educate with younger generations and recognize and advise on opportunities to engage multiple generations in conversations about effectively navigating family wealth

  • Participate in client meetings and client events as subject matter expert

  • Become a trusted advisor to clients by delivering expertise and thought leadership in a timely and personal way

  • Partner with practice management and team members on driving organizational growth and client satisfaction

  • Build advisor education on the five topical domains of family wealth

  • Demonstrate thought leadership by publishing whitepapers, and structuring and delivering presentations in a simple to understand conversational manner

  • Collaborate with extended team and colleagues across the firm to support overall department goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years proven experience in financial services including, but not limited to financial planning, Affluent/High Net Worth solutions, working with high net worth families and/or family businesses, advising or consulting wealthy families on non-financial wealth issues, experience developing education or professional programs

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • SIE Qualifications (within first 3 months of employment) FINRA Series 7, 9/10 (or equivalent) and 66 (or equivalent) required, in addition to meeting FINRA continuing education requirements

  • Entrepreneurial and Lifelong learner. A strong self-motivator who can work closely with market leaders & practice partners with or without daily contact with one's direct manager

  • Broad experience in qualitative and quantitative aspects of family wealth, trained and experienced facilitator, knowledge of curriculum and instructional design, process consultation and change management

  • Innovative thinker able to execute future engagement with customers to provide exceptional experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,; strong rapport with advisors and clients of all demographics

  • Professional (client) service orientation and skills; consulting experience a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for internal projects and client meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business, education, psychology and/or curriculum design

  • One of the following professional designations/degrees preferred although not required: CFP, CPWA, CIMA, ChFC, CAM, AEP, CWM, CTEP, JD, MBA and/or CPA

  • Technical expertise in an area such as law, tax, finance, accounting and/or behavioral science is a plus

New York,NY $190,000.00 - $275,000.00 / year
