*PARKS, PLAYGROUNDS AND BALLFIELDS SEASONAL GROUNDSKEEPERS\ *

Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department - Parks, Athletic Facilities, and Playgrounds Division -

May through November, full-time schedule, up to 40 hours/week - flexible schedules and reduced hours can be considered) and could include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and nights starting in early spring -

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming fields, parks, and general playground maintenance, as well as, opening/closing facilities, turning on/off light systems, and setting up fields for events. Parks and/or athletic experience preferred but not required. Responsibility, maturity, dedication and the ability to work in varied weather conditions are a must. Applicants for Groundskeeper positions can be 16 or 17 years old but with certain work restrictions. A valid Maine Class C drivers license is preferred, and a Department of Motor Vehicle check will be conducted on those who have one. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.

Groundskeeper positions start at \$18.00/hour.
