JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 20759 Position: #24-77: Facilities Technician II - Facilities POSITION: Facilities Technician II, FP030, 100%, University Staff, Renewable, 12-month, one vacancy POSITION SUMMARY: Inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed. DUTIES: - Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation. - Performs routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness. - Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures. - Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervision. - Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed. ADDITIONAL DUTIES SPECIFIC TO POSITION: - Assist in performing preventative maintenance tasks on campus mechanical systems. - Assist in preventative maintenance and routine maintenance and repair on equipment located at Wessman Arena. - Assist in changing filters in campus air handling equipment and water filters on water and ice machines. - Assist in maintaining rooftop air/ventilation units on all buildings. - Clean and maintain heating, ventilation, and one-room air conditioner units. - Inspect, maintain, and test all emergency eye wash stations monthly and keep records of inspection and service. - Inspect and maintain fire prevention equipment, e.g., portable fire extinguishers, hoses, and sprinklers monthly and keep records of inspection.
