JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

Under the direction of the Area Supervisor, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the terminal facilities, supervising the staff and ensuring all necessary responsibilities are performed in compliance with federal, state and company safety and operational procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily operational functions are performed safely and efficiently, includes overseeing product measurement, maintenance of location appearance and equipment functionality, oversees preventative maintenance program, product quality and accountability.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant federal, state, and local requirements (e.g., DOT, EPA, DEP, OSHA, SIP) as they pertain to the operation and maintenance of assigned facilities including but not limited to:

  • Ensure One Calls, OQs, LEPC and ER documentation remains current and is retained in the appropriate company selected repository.

  • Compile and present information in area audits.

  • Routine field inspections to ensure compliance.

  • Monitor employee performance in the One Call Program and address outlying issues or trends.

  • Remain knowledgeable on changes to the Texas One Call statutes and company SIP requirements.

  • Reviews documentation routinely

  • Supervises the local Operations and Damage Prevention staff and is responsible for employee training, evaluations, establishing goals, scheduling, encouraging and motivating employees, counseling and taking disciplinary actions as necessary.

  • Ensures employees are held accountable for performing job responsibilities.

  • Works in partnership with the Commercial group and with market area customers to interpret and proactively respond to customer feedback and local trends. May perform a product scheduling role as needed.

  • Monitors area Over and Short and assists with annual forecasting, budgeting, project scoping as it applies.

  • Manage the local Aerial Patrol Program and the Public Awareness programs to ensure requirements are completed timely and compliantly. Represents the company in contact with community and government officials and emergency response agencies.

  • Engage with Real Estate Representative(s) and Damage Prevention Employees to oversee 3rd party encroachments.

  • Foster close working relationships with peers in the industry by meeting with annually.

  • Plan for and attend meetings as required.

  • Performs vacation relief at facilities as required.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High School diploma required

  • College degree preferred

Work Experience

  • The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in a lead role and be familiar with and experienced in the responsibilities required to operate a terminal facility.

  • A minimum of 3 years industry operations experience is required.

  • Previous experience in supervising employees and/or overseeing projects and operations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of: compressor station, storage field, gathering field, and processing plant operations and related equipment.

  • Knowledge of: computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Knowledge of: cryogenic process plants, gas and liquid processing fundamentals, company/governmental operating and safety procedures, emergency response procedures, safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems

  • Ability to: communications

  • Ability to: apply basic math and algebraic formulas.

  • Ability to: monitor compressor, storage, gathering, and processing activities and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

  • Ability to: interact, advise, and communicate effectively.

  • Ability to: train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.

  • Ability to: compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.

  • Ability to: read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, construction specifications and drawings, chromatograph printouts, reports, and correspondence.

  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instruction

  • Ability to: operate tools and equipment required

Expected Salary Range

$101,000.00 - $151,000.00
