    Job Summary:

    The Director of Global SOP & Demand Planning is responsible for providing strategic and executional leadership to deliver superior customer service consistently while optimizing production/logistics costs and working capital.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP)

  • Developing, executing, and maintaining global supply and logistics network strategy

  • Leading demand/capacity planning through plant scheduling to optimize working capital and costs

  • Leading logistics operations including warehousing, freight management, duties, etc. Partner with Procurement team to negotiate optimal rates

  • Driving, with business unit and segment GM’s, SKU rationalization and data cleansing and maintenance

  • Ensuring slow-moving and obsolete inventories are visualized and minimized

  • Providing visual management of all key metrics including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Actions

  • Developing, in partnership with Information Technology team, the IT strategy for Supply Chain

  • Integrating supply chains of current/future acquisitions

  • Cross-functional Leading and developing a team of 8-12 S&OP professionals responsible for planning network

    Key Metrics :

  • Delivery: On Time in Full %, Schedule Adherence

  • Inventory: $ Inventory, Days in Inventory Outstanding (DII), Days Forward Coverage

  • SIOP: Forecast Accuracy, MAPE

  • Plant Schedule Adherence

  • Total Production Costs

  • Logistics: Freight Cost including Air, Ocean, Ground; External Warehousing Cost

    Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience with a diverse background (strong managerial, business, and technical education, supply chain, planning, and logistics experience and skills)

  • APICS, PMP/PMI, or Lean/Six Sigma Certificate preferred.

  • Expertise in global supply chain, planning, and logistics activities.

  • Marine, Logistics, Retail, and/or F&B industry experience preferred.

  • Must have implemented or operated within robust Sales and Operation Planning process.

  • Experience with ERP, MRP, and WMS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as Financial Statement Analysis.

  • Focus on Results: Results oriented management style, develops plans, utilizes resources, from inside and outside of the team to meet the objectives of the organization. Able to create a clear expectation and accountability system throughout the department.

  • Process Management: able to identify and implement technology and processes that drives more effective inventory and production planning while maximizing cash on hand and customer OTD.

  • Leads from the Front: Develops strong working relationships with coworkers creating sense of urgency with strong communication and interpersonal skills while harnessing input from those around but sets the tone and pace of the operation.

  • Develops Others: Experienced in developing functional leaders in driving safety, quality, and performance in their areas of responsibility.

    Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, or Finance. MBA preferred.

    Travel Requirements:

  • 10-15% of time

    Physical Working Environment:

    The position works in a climate-controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
